My philosophy
Our bodies are incredibly sophisticated and wise, constantly communicating with us symbolically through aches and pains and other subtle signals.
What’s going on inside ourselves - how we feel, our judgments, thoughts, beliefs and values often mirror our external reality, and vice versa.
I believe physical symptoms and illness - and even emotional wounds and challenging relational patterns - can be our greatest teachers and a profound spiritual path leading to greater authenticity, stronger connections and healing of inherited patterns from the past.
I believe in personal responsibility - being curious and noticing what arises in us in challenging situations or around people we find “difficult”, and not projecting our unresolved issues onto other people and blaming or shaming them. It is up to us to process our own reactions, triggers and responses to others and to learn from them.
I believe we’re all here to evolve and grow, and each of us have unique gifts to bring into the world.
We can do alot of inner work and yet still carry and store alot of undigested and unresolved trauma from our past, our family system, ancestors and in many case for women, trauma from our feminine lineage. Many therapeutic healing modalities over the past few decades work at the mind level more than the body or emotions, which is one reason why many of us have a sophisticated level of understanding of what’s going on within us, but continue to carry alot of unresolved pain.
Issues around worthiness, difficulty speaking up around others, fears of being misunderstood or not heard, struggling to feel valued, ability to be fully yourself without hiding or compartmentalising, wounds around invisibility or rejecting your “feminine” nature, are just some of the challenges many women have. I believed there’s a connection between these wounds and the level in which our feminine capacities and traits are still stigmatised in today’s world.
We can get caught up endlessly searching for what’s wrong with us, looking for answers outside of us. The root cause work differs because we support you to find the answers from within you.
We hold vast wisdom and consciousness within our bodies, and are connected to the earth, great spirit and all of life in ways we don’t yet fully comprehend.
Whilst we can access multi-dimensional transcendent spiritual states, it isn’t the point if we can’t bridge and ground this higher awareness and learning into this reality within the body to address some of the challenges we face personally and collectively.
The biggest most transformational journey we’ll ever take is the descent from head to heart, from loosening our loyalty to operating from the mind alone to fully inhabiting the body we have, perceiving and drawing from all of our intelligences and capacities.
There is great potential held within us that we could be using in more sophisticated ways. A question that underpins my work is:
What would happen if each of us accessed our deeper wisdom and higher capacities to navigate change and found more connected and loving ways of being in relationship to ourselves, each other and our earth?
